By joining the Hansei beta program, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully before signing up.
Hansei is currently in beta. This means the product is still under active development. Features may be incomplete, changed, or removed at any time. The service may experience downtime, bugs, or data issues without prior notice.
The beta is open to individuals who are 16 years of age or older. By requesting access, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Hansei reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion.
Access is granted for personal, non-commercial use only. You agree not to:
To use the app, you must create an account with your name and email address. Your account and all associated data are stored on Hansei servers. This information is handled in accordance with Section 5 below.
We may ask you to provide feedback on the product. By submitting feedback, you grant Hansei a perpetual, royalty-free license to use that feedback for product improvement purposes. You retain ownership of any ideas you share; Hansei has no obligation to compensate you for feedback provided.
There are two types of data involved in this beta:
Application data (workouts, nutrition, body stats, settings): stored securely on Hansei servers, linked to your account. This data persists across devices and sessions. The app includes a built-in export feature so you can download a full copy of your data at any time. You may request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us via Instagram at @hansei_app.
Account data (name and email address): collected when you create your account. This information is stored securely and used only to authenticate you, grant access, and communicate relevant updates about the beta. It will not be shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
Anonymised usage data: we collect anonymised, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and how often) to help us improve the app before the full release. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. By using the beta, you consent to this collection.
Hansei handles all personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including PIPEDA (Canada) and GDPR (European Union) where applicable.
The beta is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. Hansei makes no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service. As this is a beta product, data loss due to bugs or infrastructure issues is possible. We recommend using the export feature regularly to keep a local backup of your data.
You may stop using the beta at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us via Instagram at @hansei_app. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe. We may restrict or terminate access to the beta at our discretion if we believe these terms have been violated.
These terms may be updated as the beta evolves. We will notify registered beta testers of significant changes via email. Continued use of the beta constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
