Account data (name and email address): collected when you create your account. Used only to authenticate you, grant access, and communicate relevant updates. Will not be shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
Health and fitness data (workouts, nutrition logs, body weight, body composition, hydration, supplement records): stored securely on Hansei servers, linked to your account, and accessible only to you and professionals you explicitly authorize. This data is classified as sensitive personal data under GDPR Article 9 and equivalent regulations. We process it solely to provide the features you use and will never sell, share, or use it for advertising purposes. You provide explicit consent to this processing by creating an account and using these features.
Anonymised usage data: we collect anonymised, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and how often) to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you personally. By using the beta, you consent to this collection.
Data storage location: your data is stored on servers provided by Railway (railway.app), located in the United States. If you are an EU/EEA resident, this constitutes a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are conducted under appropriate safeguards in accordance with GDPR Chapter V.
Hansei handles all personal data in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including PIPEDA (Canada), GDPR (European Union), and LGPD (Brazil) where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hanseiapp.com. We will respond within 30 days. For erasure requests, data will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of confirmation.
We retain your account and associated data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, all personal data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated data that cannot be linked to any individual may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
